Dreamscape Theatre is a nonprofit arts organization rooted in the heart of Chicago, committed to uplifting voices that are often left out of the spotlight. A proud subsidiary of the B-Side Studios family, Dreamscape Theatre builds on more than 15 years of creative excellence in theatre, film, live events, and podcast production across the Chicagoland area.

Founded by veteran producer Maurice D. Proffit, Dreamscape was born from the belief that everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience, deserves a chance to tell their story and shine on stage. We specialize in providing professional, high-quality opportunities for non-traditional, underrepresented, and emerging artists to express their creativity in bold, authentic ways.

Our productions span original works, community showcases, and culturally rich performances, all grounded in the idea that art should be inclusive, accessible, and transformative. Through theatrical performances, workshops, seminars, and community events, we not only entertain, we empower.
